If you are repairing LCD Monitors, i’m sure you had came across this SG6841D PWM IC used in the power section. This IC function is the same as the famous UC3842 where it use to switch the power fet except that the output (gate) is from the fet’s (see the diagram). For UC3842 IC, it is from the transistors. Usually if you discovered that the power fet had developed a short circuit, the SG6841 PWM IC need to be changed.
