Wesak Flasher with 6 Bulb

Wesak festival is getting near.So I decided to give you a very useful circuit diagram this circuit can drive 650Watt (Lamp 220V ) per Lamp channels.By using VR1 you can control the speed of your lamps.Here I have used very famous Ic 4017 and Ic NE 555.You can directly connect this circuit for 230V.

Note

# This circuit is 230V circuit so this is not good for kids

# don't exceed 650W

230v Lamp Flasher Circuit

This is 230V lamp flasher circuit.Here the bulb or bulbs flash regularly.You can control the speed of bulbs by adjesing the VR1.You can use more bulbes but dont pass the 100W.That means If you use 25W bulbs you can use only 4 bulbs But If you used 5W bulbs you can use 20 bulbs.

Note

# be careful when you deal with 230v current
# Always get the assistance of an elder.
# Don't pass 100W Then it will burn your circuit.

Light activated switch circuit

This circuit is well important circuit for us because We can get lots of advantages through this circuit.When the light puts on L.D.R the circuit activates.So you can use this one as you morning alarm or you can use this one for your robot.

Note

# You can use either a 12 V battery or a well regulated & filtered 12V DC mains operated power supply.

# The pin 5&6 (Balance & Balance/Strobe ) of IC LM311 are shorted to minimize the chance of oscillations.

USB Lamp circuit.

Here is a simple USB powered lamp that can be used to light your desktop during power failures. The circuit operates from the 5 V available from the USB port.The 5V from the USB port is passed through current limiting resistor R2 and transistor Q1. The base of transistor Q1 is grounded via R1 which provides a constant bias voltage for Q1 together with D2.The diode D1 prevents the reverse flow of current from battery.C1 is used as a noise filter.Two white LED’s are used here for the lamp, you can also use a 2 V torch bulb instead of LED’s. LED D3 indicates connection with USB port.

Notes.

* USB port is only able to provide up to 100 mA current.So don’t overload the circuit with more no of LED’s.
* Before wiring the circuit confirm the positive and ground leads of USB by a multimeter.
* Switch S1 can be used to turn on the lamp.

Emergency Light and Alarm

This circuit is permanently plugged into a mains socket and NI-CD batteries are trickle-charged. When a power outage occurs, the lamp automatically illuminates. Instead of illuminating a lamp, an alarm sounder can be chosen. When power supply is restored, the lamp or the alarm is switched-off. A switch provides a "latch-up" function, in order to extend lamp or alarm operation even when power is restored.

Mains voltage is reduced to about 12V DC at C2's terminals, by means of the reactance of C1 and the diode bridge (D1-D4). This avoids the use of a mains transformer.
Trickle-charging current for the battery B1 is provided by the series resistor R3, D5 and the green LED D6 that also monitors the presence of mains supply and correct battery charging.
Q2 & Q3 form a self-latching pair that start operating when a power outage occurs. In this case, Q1 biasing becomes positive, so this transistor turns on the self latching pair.
If SW3 is set as shown in the circuit diagram, the lamp illuminates via SW2, which is normally closed; if set the other way, a square wave audio frequency generator formed by Q4, Q5 and related components is activated, driving the loudspeaker.
If SW1 is left open, when mains supply is restored the lamp or the alarm continue to operate. They can be disabled by opening the main on-off switch SW2.
If SW1 is closed, restoration of the mains supply terminates lamp or alarm operation, by applying a positive bias to the Base of Q2.

Notes:

* Close SW2 after the circuit is plugged.
* Warning! The circuit is connected to 230Vac mains, then some parts in the circuit board are subjected to lethal potential!. Avoid touching the circuit when plugged and enclose it in a plastic box.

AC 220 Volts Flashing Lamps Circuit

This circuit is intended as a reliable replacement to thermally-activated switches used for Christmas tree lamp-flashing. The device formed by Q1, Q2 and related resistors triggers the SCR. Timing is provided by R1, R2 & C1. To change flashing frequency do not modify R1 and R2 values: set C1 value from 100 to 2200µF instead. Best performances are obtained with C1= 470 or 1000µF and R4= 12K or 10K. Due to low consumption of normal 10 or 20 lamp series-loops intended for Christmas trees (60mA @ 230V typical for a 20 lamp series-loop), very small and cheap SCR devices can be used, e.g. C106D1 (400V 3.2A) or TICP106D (400V 2A), this last and the suggested P0102D devices having TO92 cases.

it is absolutely necessary to employ high Gate-sensitive SCRs. If you are unable to find these devices you can use Triacs instead. In this case the circuit operates also with relatively powerful devices. A recommended Triac type is the ubiquitous TIC206M (600V 4A) but many others can work. Please note that, in spite of the Triac, diode bridge D1-D4 is in any case necessary.

Warning! The device is connected to 230Vac mains, then some parts in the circuit board are subjected to lethal potential! Avoid touching the circuit when plugged and enclose it in a plastic box.

Dark Activated Terrace Lamp

This device allows one or more lamps to illuminate at sunset and turn off at dawn.Q1 and Q2 form a trigger device for the SCR, providing short pulses at 100Hz frequency. Pulse duration is set by R2 and C1.When the light hits R1, the photo resistor assumes a very low resistance value, almost shorting C1 and preventing circuit operation. When R1 is in the dark, its resistance value becomes very high thus enabling circuit operation.

R1 = LDR
R2 = 100K
R3 = 200K
R4 = 470R
R5 = 12K
R6 = 1K

Notes:

* R3 allows fine setting of operating threshold and R2 value can be raised to 150K maximum.
* Several lamps wired in parallel can be connected to the circuit, provided total power dissipation of the load does not exceed about 300 - 500W.
* PL1 can be omitted and the input mains supply wires connected in parallel to any switch controlling lamps. In this case, if the switch is left open, the circuit will be able to drive the lamps; if the switch is closed, the lamps will illuminate and the circuit will be by-passed.
* Warning! The circuit is connected to 230Vac mains, and then some parts in the circuit board are subjected to lethal potential! Avoid touching the circuit when plugged and enclose it in a plastic box.

Dome Light Dimmer For Cars electronic circuit diagram

This unique circuit makes your dome light look cool. Usually when the car door is closed, the dome light just goes OFF. With this circuit, you can have our dome light fade slowly in brightness and finally go OFF. This slow dimming of the light gives a very good feeling at night. It looks very romantic! The circuit can be explained as follows: When the car door is open, the push to off switch of the door is ON and hence it charges the 22uF capacitor fully. The opamp is acting as a voltage follower and its output is same as the voltage across the capacitor, which is 12V when the capacitor is fully charged. Due to a high voltage at the output of the IC, the transistor saturates, turning ON the bulb to full brightness. Now when the door is closed, the door switch is pushed in and hence the switch goes OFF. When the switch is OFF, the capacitor starts discharging slowly through VR1 and the 10K resistor and the voltage across it decreases slowly. Hence at the output of IC 741 also the voltage decreases gradually, hence decreasing the base current to the transistor. This produces a slowly decreasing current through the bulb and the bulb fades out and finally when the capacitor is fully discharged, the bulb goes OFF. After building the circuit, with the push-to-off switch in ON position (not pushed in) i.e. the car door open, adjust the preset VR2 to the required initial brightness of the bulb. Then push the switch in to turn it OFF(or close the door) and adjust VR1 for the time to bring the bulb from full brightness to OFF. I would suggest you set VR1 and VR2 to their maximum values.

Driving the highway with your high-beam headlights can really increase your visibility, but can he a blinding hazard for other drivers. This simple circuit can be wired into your headlight switch to provide automatic switching between high and low beam headlights when there is oncoming traffic. It does this by sensing the lights of that traffic. In this way, you can drive safely with your high-beams on without blinding other drivers.

6Channel Disco Running Lights electronic circuit diagram

From 230 V AC a DC supply of + 5 V is obtained. The power supply is given to the other blocks. The pulse generator at a particular frequency generates the clock pulses. The clock pulses are counted by a counter and gives output after every 10 pulses. The counter drives the transistors, which form the triac firing circuit. The transistors fire the triacs and they provide sufficient current to the load. Decorative bulbs are connected as load for each triac. The bulbs are sequentially turned ON and OFF in forward and reverse way.

The IC 555 works as the pulse generator and feeds the clock pulses to IC 4017. IC 4017 is the heart of this circuit. It works as a counter and gives the output after every 10 pulses. It drives the transistors, which in turn fire the triacs. The triac provides sufficient current to the load.

Low Cost-automatic Emergency Light electronic circuit diagram

Description

Here is a white-LED-based emergency light that offers the following advantages:
1. It is highly bright due to the use of white LEDs.
2. The light turns on automatically when mains supply fails, and turns off when mains power resumes.
3. It has its own battery charger. When the battery is fully charged, charging stops automatically.
The circuit comprises two sections: charger power supply and LED driver.The charger power supply section is built around 3-terminal adjustable regulator (IC1) LM317, while the LED driver section is built around transistor BD140(T2). In the charger power supply section, input AC mains is stepped down by transformer to deliver 9V, 500mA to the bridge rectifier, which comprises diodes (IN4007x4). Filter capacitor (25v/1000uf)eliminates ripples. Unregulated DC voltage is fed to input pin 3 of IC1 and provides charging current through diode IN4007(D5) and limiting resistor (16ohm)R16. By adjusting preset 2.2K(VR1), the output voltage can be adjusted to deliver the required charging current. When the battery gets charged to 6.8V, zener diode conducts and charging current from regulator (IC1) finds a path through transistor BC547(T1) to ground and it stops charging of the battery. The LED driver section uses a total of twelve 10mm white LEDs. All the LEDs are connected in parallel with a 100-ohm resistor in series with each. The common-anode junction of all the twelve LEDs is connected to the collector of pnp transistor T2 and the emitter of transistor T2 is directly connected to the positive terminal of 6V battery. The unregulated DC voltage, produced at the cathode junction of Bridge(Diodes), is fed to the base of transistor T2 through a 1k resistor. When mains power is available, the base of transistor T2 remains high and T2 does not conduct. Thus LEDs are off. On the other hand, when mains fails, the base of transistor T2 becomes low and it conducts. This makes all the LEDs (LED1 through LED12) glow. The mains power supply, when available, charges the battery and keeps the LEDs off as transistor T2 remains cut-off. During mains failure, the charging section stops working and the battery supply makes the LEDs glow. Assemble the circuit on a general-purpose PCB and enclose in a cabinet with enough space for battery and switches. Mount the LEDs on the cabinet such that they light up the room. A hole in the cabinet should be drilled to connect 230V AC input for the primary of the transformer. I have tested the circuit with twelve 10mm white LEDs.You can use more LEDs provided the total current consumption does not exceed 1.5A. Driver transistor T2 can deliver up to 1.5A with proper heat-sink arrangement

ballast-for-energy-saving-lamps

This compact ballast is intended for driving a 20-watt ‘bare’ Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) tube or bulb, that is, one without a driver circuit built into its socket that makes it ready to screw into an existing lamp socket. Pin-base CFLs are designed to be used with a separate ballast. As with a linear fluorescent system, the lamp and ballast must be compatible. Pin-base CFLs are available in low-power versions to replace incandescent light bulbs and in medium- and high-power versions to take over from linear fluorescent lamps or even high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps.

Making a pin-base CFL light

The circuit shown in Inductor picture uses a dedicated integrated circuit type FAN7710 from our friends at Fairchild. As illustrated in Figure 4, this device combines one high-side 625-V gate driver circuit, two 550-V MOSFETs, afrequency control circuit and a shunt regulator –– plus active ZVS control and an open lamp detection function, all crammed into one ultra-compact 8-way DIP package. Its high functionality and built-in protection features save board space, reduce power dissipation and guarantee enhanced reliability in end systems. Good!

The AC line input voltage (here, 230 VAC 50 Hz) is rectified to provide a bus voltage of approximately 320 volts DC. Startup resistor R1 supplies initial (micro-) power to the FAN7710 IC. The IC begins to oscillate and the charge pump circuit consisting of C2, D2 and D7 supplies the current to the VDD pin, which gets regulated through the internal 15-V shunt regulator.

The FAN7710’s oscillator circuitry employs three discrete frequencies: one to pre-heat the CFL gas; one to ignite it and one for the on state — see the inset for the associated (simple) maths. In addition to this, it protects the ballast circuitry from low AC as well as lamp removal conditions.

Making the inductor
The bare PCB, FAN7710N IC and the 2.5-millihenry inductor used in the circuit come as a set from the Elektor Shop. However we would not discourage anyone from purchasing the inductor parts and making it yourself.

Let’s first carefully write down the specifications:

Inductance: 2.5 mH
Core material: Epcos N19 or equivalent
Core size: 20 / 10 / 6
Bobbin: E19
Gap: 1.5 mm
Wire gauge: 0.2 mm (SWG #32)
Number of turns: 280

Now look at the construction details.
First, wind the 280 turns of enamelled copper wire (ECW) on the E19 bobbin. Bare the wire ends for about 5 mm by scratching with a scalpel, then pre-tin. Check continuity of the coil. Put the Ecore halves over the bobbin as shown, then insert and adjust the spacers to get the required air gap of 1.5 mm which is essential to achieve the required inductance. The final step is to wrap electrical isolation tape around the core frame.

Ballast for Energy-Saving Lamps Printed Circuit Board )PCB)

Elektor labs have designed a circut board for the project; the component mounting plan is shown in PCB. The copper track layout is available as a free .pdf file from our website at Elektor for those wishing to etch their own circuit board. Reflected and non-reflected artwork is included in the .pdf file for your convenience. Component stuffing is a breeze as only normal size leaded components are used on a spacious board. The wiring to the mains and the lamp, and all connections and connectors in between, should comply with electrical safety guidelines. (Author: T. A. Babu, Elektor Magazine, 2008)

Caution!
The circuit is connected directly to the mains and presents lethal voltages. Relevant electrical safety precautions must be observed to prevent any component being touched while thecircuit is in operation.

AC Current Indicator Light Circuit

This circuit could be wired into a 120vac power line, which feeds power to any load, ranging from 40 watts to 250 watts. It will turn on a LED light whenever current is being drawn by a load. It is especially useful for remote lights, where you may not be able to see if the lamps are receiving power.
