If you come across a SMD diode that the part number could not be found from the internet, what would you do? Assuming the SMD diode had a short circuit. Do you just remove a similar size SMD diode from another board (although with different part number) and test the circuit out? Although i rarely see SMD diode shorted, if i come across one and i do not know the spec, i would just use Uf4007 diode to test the circuit. Since i have no other choice, so far this is the best method for me to test the circuit and hope that it will work.
What would you do if you face similar problem like me?
