All these are useful to know when using an Oscilloscope and a Signal Generator.
This Circuit is Operational, if someone wishes to build it.
The addition of "Vertical" and "Horizontal Ampilfiers", as well as well as a "Time Base" would make it more practical.
Other Scope tubes can also be used in this circuit, but you will need to use the appropriate Filament voltages,
as well as a Higher Supply voltage. Most tubes are up in the 1,500 to 2,500 voltage range.
