Came in a Samsung 713n 17″ LCD Monitor for repair and the complain was no power. After checking the power primary side found three components that was faulty the power IC top246y, a 15 volt zener diode and a signal diode 1N4148. Secondary components found to be okay. A search at my spare parts compartment could not locate the TOP246Y power IC thus i just gave it a try on the Top247Y power IC. Guess what? It worked perfectly good and now is under burning in test.
If you are repairing LCD Monitors, please take down this substitution part number, who knows one day you might have need it. Have a good and a happy troubleshooting day
